Guardian Invitational Tournament Rules
1. All games will be played according to FIBA rules.
2. Games will consist of 4-9 minute quarters, with a one-minute interval after the first and third quarter. Half time will be 5 minutes long.
3. Overtime:
i) Will begin with a jump ball.
ii) First team to five points in the OT period wins.
iii) Each team can carry over any remaining time outs.
- No additional time outs will be granted.
- Fouls and Bonus carry over.
4. In all games, the decision made by the game referee shall be final. No protests or appeals will be accepted.
5. Teams listed first in the draw wear white jerseys.
6. The first listed team will also have choice of bench and will warm up in front of their bench. Note: STJ teams will always use the bench closest to the changeroom.
7. Basketballs for warm-ups will be provided.
8. Please do not park in staff parking lots during school hours. Staff parking is identified by signage. To access available parking, drive completely around the building to the large lot by the Cathedral.
9. Please supervise your teams in hallways and locker rooms. Do not leave any bags or clothes in the locker rooms. Bring them to the bench with you as the teams playing after you will be using the locker rooms.
10. Ejection of Coach or Player from a Contest (Refer to the SHSAA handbook): All SSSAD and SHSAA sanctions shall apply for player and coach ejections from a contest.
